Heaters are the beating heart of classic process heating systems. They convert energy into usable heat which can be used to supply all other system components through to your appliance. A circulation pump ensures the right flow rate. In addition to our fired heaters, we increasingly recommend electrical heaters from our WTE series – as a back-up, as cover for maintenance periods or as a sustainable alternative in permanent operation. The benefits of electric heating are plain to see: It produces no waste gas in operation, does not require an approval process for firing or tanks for fuel reserves and reduces requirements for supply infrastructure, set-up costs and maintenance times. WTE systems are particularly compact and can drastically reduce your carbon footprint, depending on the power source. If wish, you can get a custom-made electrical heater from us, plus all additional required components from the pump unit and expansion tank to the control unit – configured precisely to your specifications. Our largest electrical heater yet was produced for a Swiss client and delivers a whopping 3.2 MW. How much do you need?
One compelling pull factor: Our WTE systems are incredibly quick to set up and ready to use immediately – saving you costly downtime if the worst happens. If required, the WTE is available in a compact version including pump unit, expansion tank and HTT control unit DCS, fully configured in the frame in a very small space. This makes tailored installations just as feasible as quick plug-in operation.
Our WTE systems have a performance range from 25 to 4,000 kW. They can be used to heat hot water up to +100 °C, industrial hot water up to 240 °C or thermal oil up to 400 °C. This makes the electrical heater ideal for use in our CPS range of temperature control equipment. The size of the WTE is aligned with your heating output requirements and is therefore ideally placed to make the best possible use of the available space. Another benefit: The heating elements cooled using heat carrier oil, combined with controlled oil flow, enable very long service lives. The heating elements and the system as a whole can also be designed for installation locations at risk from explosion.
