Whether natural gas needs to be brought up to temperature as it emerges from the well, crude oil needs to be kept warm or waste heat needs to be made usable for processes: There’s a lot we can do for the oil and gas industry. The experience we’ve gained over decades working with companies outside of the world of European standards is useful, as the market for fossil energy sources is traditionally heavily influenced by American regulatory policies. This is where our electrical (WTE) and fired (WTÖ) heaters and our compact energy recovery (ER) solutions come in. Their individual solutions and adapted designs get the best from the conditions.
Nothing works without process heat. So when you choose your technology, it’s best to opt for a sound solution made to measure in our own German production facilities that lasts long and will continue to run efficiently 20 years from now. Here are the benefits of an HTT system:
Complex specifications? Tough jobs? Our engineering department creates your custom solution.
As a pioneer in the thermal oil industry, we helped develop the fundamental standard DIN 4754 and know it inside out.
Consultation, mechanical and electrical engineering, project planning, production, after-sales service, installation and operation.
You benefit directly from the combined experience we’ve gained from over 16,000 projects delivered for all applications.
Big jobs call for big performance. That’s why our heat carrier oil heaters are available with outputs up to 35 megawatts.
Get the most out of your energy use! Our systems offer economical efficiency rates of up to 96%.
If you’re trying to install three giant heaters with a total output of 30 megawatts in the sandy subsoil of a Middle Eastern oil production facility, you need to know what you’re doing. That’s why one of the world’s biggest oil producers brought us on board as they sought a reliable solution for heating large quantities of oil and keeping it warm. The international nature of the project required extensive documentation and a demanding process of coordination across borders and language barriers. Transporting and installing the gigantic systems was a far from simple undertaking, too. So we were delighted to contribute our experience and guide the project to resounding success. In close collaboration with our points of contact, we produced, delivered and set up the three WTÖ 10.000 thermal oil heaters one after the other. To this day, we ensure the three large-scale facilities reliably bring the oil to a temperature of 300 °C and keep it there with our after-sales and service expertise.
A gas producer required a heat recovery system to help it use waste heat from a gas turbine for its processes. More specifically, a rather large one. After undertaking detailed planning and designing filtering systems the right size, we installed an ER system with a 7-megawatt output that still reliably heats thermal oil to 300 °C today.
When natural gas expands as it leaves the well, it cools suddenly. To enable its continued processing, a world-leading natural gas producer asked us for a system that heats it back up to 250 °C after line pressure reduces. We managed to design a thermal oil WTÖ with a heating output of 700 kW compact enough to install in the strictly limited space available.
